But when you need to apply that border to a miles-long road project, this simple task can quickly become a real challenge. Fortunately, there’s a simple, cost-effective solution to this problem: concrete pattern rollers. Decorative concrete rollers are a time-efficient method for applying concrete border patterns for projects that are long or curvy. They are especially useful for department of transportation (DOT) projects such as medians, sidewalks and shoulders that require a pattern that is relatively narrow (8” to 10”) and continue for a long distance.
