If choosing the concentrate, one 32 ounce container is to be mixed with 4.75 gallons of mineral spirits to give you 5 gallons of release
For the past 3 years I used competitor’s stamp release, but I got this because I only needed a small amount (less than a cup’s worth) to finish some vertical texturing and I didn’t want to spend the big bucks for the only-five-gallon size locally. While this smells like mineral spirits and oils rather than the pleasant bubblegum scent of the other stuff, it covers better, sprays smoother, and it doesn’t clog up my cheap garden sprayers like other products (it still clogs them a little, but not much really). What’s really impressive though is the way it facilitates a good stamping and provides a clean and smooth release with less resoaking of my stamps during the texturing process. I can visually tell which textures I used the Walttools release on and which ones I did not. Not only is this a superior product, but it covers and stamps better. Guess which one I’ll be using from now on?
